Silhouette
Food. It is so there. It is such a constant in our lives. How much of our thought centers around food? In 2011, I took the foods I may eat in a single day and dropped them each on a colored background. Spray painting over them in black, I was able to reduce them to their physical form, their silhouette. Then inedible, these foods were no longer a source of nourishment or anxiety, but of play, admiration, and aesthetic beauty.
