Jaelah Kuehmichel (she/they) is a queer artist, painter and designer whose whimsical and innovative works expand across mediums to delight and inspire with a sense of endless curiosity, vivid and uplifting colors, expressive abstraction and piercing social irony. Juxtapose considered intentional control with expressive spontaneity and you get a sort of chaotic wisdom, a charming voice reflecting our times from the edges. 

Jaelah’s primary medium is mixed-media painting and she is currently making, exhibiting and selling new works from her home-studio-gallery in Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA. Sister mediums in regular use include graphics, video, performance, sculpture, installation, and music. Since 2017 Jaelah has been working with the wildly popular immersive arts company Meow Wolf. As a Principal Artist she has contributed numerous murals, sculptures, immersive artworks and interactive designs in all 5 of Meow Wolf’s permanent exhibitions.
